Rabobank Completes Purchase of ACCBank

Rabobank and ACCBank today announced that Rabobank has completed its purchase of ACCBank for €165 million.
ACCBank will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Rabobank Nederland.
At today's announcement, Pieter van der Weijden, Rabobank's Head of International Retail Banking, and the newly appointed Chairman of ACCBank said: "Rabobank's move into the retail banking sector in Ireland is very good news for customers. It will increase competition in the marketplace through the availability of new products and more cost-effective funding".
"We look forward to working with ACCBank management and staff and we intend to build on the Bank's existing business strategy. This is focused on the provision of banking services to the SME and Agri sectors and the provision of high value products for the personal sector."
